Description:

For generations our dedicated, passionate brew masters have ensured that Pilsner Urquell with its distinctive darker shade of gold and snow white head has maintained its uncompromised purity of flavour.

Since 1842 we have used only the purest, most natural ingredients to create a beer of golden opulence. From the soft crystal clear waters, to the superior Bohemian and Moravian barley and noble hops from the Saaz region. Even our yeast has a centuries-old pedigree…

Slightly sweet, somewhat malty, the honey nut flavour sparkles on the tip of your tongue, and slides into your mouth where tart citrus flavours and warm caramel bitterness builds quickly before slipping down your throat full of rich body, thoroughly refreshing...

This isn't a terrible beer, but there were some odd tastes and smells associated with it I wanted to like it more because there is this name recognition, but something was off. I found that I was not reaching for this one more than once. Perhaps when there are other pilsners to compare to, this one just does not hold up.

Agent Dave

OK. Kind of what I expected with a bitter aftertaste. Would be good during hot weather as it is not as heavy as some of the others.

pilsner urquell. meaning original pilsner, is among the best true to style pilsners. has a slightly darker color than one would expect in a pils. nice white, rocky head and rich malty charactor with a nice light saaz hoppyness. crisp and refreshing yet with some malt profile. very satisfying

Supply Sergeant

Nice Clean Crisp flavor with a good bite. This is a good go to pils when one is out having dinner. Very Nice.

Chief Bottle Washer

A fairly weak tasting Czech Pilsner compared to others in the category. Seems to have a bit of a strange aftertaste as well.
