A nice stout. Dark robust flavor. Nice woodsy flavor.Hint of the bourbon left from the barrels. Old Dominion was one of the first to use old barrels in the country. Tasted 4/47/2006 Tasted 1/9/2009 Tasted 1/21/2011

Agent Dave

A well balanced beer with a hint of smokey flavor.

I'm not necessarily a stout drinker, but this is pretty good.

Hokie Hopstress

Smooth.

Herr O. Gant Basturd

best stout I've had! still a damn good stout, sweet, vanilla flavor, medium body, mild hops flavor, almost a creme soda flavor (1/21/11)

Chief Bottle Washer

To date, my favorite Oak Barrel Stout. Very good malt flavor and smooth finish. I have to say, when compared to other wood conditioned beers, the Oak flavor doesn't come through too well.
