Description:

Amber Ale deftly balances a mixture of toasted grain & light caramel notes with a range of floral, citrus and herbal hop notes, capped by a clean bitterness. This balance of flavors makes Amber Ale quite versatile as a food pairing option, not to mention being rather tasty in its own right. Whether serving as a jumping point to other styles or as a familiar standby, Amber Ale is central to the Bell’s portfolio.

Agent Dave

Smooth flavor with a fruity finish.

Hokie Hopstress

Smooth & Light

Herr O. Gant Basturd

nothing special, kinda disappointing amber color, nice malt taste, not sweet, mild bitterness (6/12/15)

Supply Sergeant

Not much flavor hence the rating a fatal flaw for a craft brewer and a basic brew. Check out the tastings for other selections. Light carmel color, not to malty. Tasted 7/3/2008

Chief Bottle Washer

Fairly nice, but a little light in flavor compared to other American Amber Ales. Re-tasted 6/12/15, and the rating remains the same 3 btls. It pours an unfiltered copper color with a moderately heavy amount of head. Still light on malt and hops flavors.
